A Sneak Peek of Your Role 🔭 

This job, and the team at Instinct, is remote.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new clients within the ER and specialty veterinary hospital segment, focusing on our Practice Systems products, Instinct EMR and Instinct Treatment Plan. You will utilize a combination of cold and warm outreach strategies to identify, engage, and close sales opportunities. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success selling into ER and Specialty Veterinary hospitals, is technically savvy, a deep understanding of the veterinary industry, and a passion for exceeding targets.

What You’ll Do 🐱‍💻

  • Identify and target prospective ER and specialty veterinary hospitals through proactive outreach and lead nurturing.
  • Own a book of target accounts that are worked regularly to build and close pipeline from.
  • Conduct needs assessments, deliver presentations, and negotiate terms to close sales.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, provide support, and identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities.
  • Manage sales data in CRM and provide regular forecasts.
  • Track performance metrics and collaborate with other teams to improve sales strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and expand professional knowledge.
  • Develop a deep understanding of ER and specialty veterinary hospital needs.

Who You Are 🐱‍💻

  • Must Haves:
    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
    • 5+ years of experience in sales, with a consistent track record of exceeding sales quotas.
    • Proven ability to conduct both cold and warm outreach effectively.
    • Experience owning a book of target accounts and building pipeline from within those.
    • An understanding of how best to pair with an SDR to drive quality pipeline.
    • Strong understanding of the sales process, from lead generation to close.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.
    • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
    • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Hubspot) and other sales tools.
    • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Nice-to-Haves:
    • Knowledge of veterinary practice management systems and workflows.
    • Experience selling SaaS products
    • Prior experience selling software solutions to the veterinary industry, particularly to ER and specialty practices, is highly preferred.

Total Compensation range for this role is $80,000 - $200,000. This range reflects a mix of base salary and variable compensation earned through performance.
